Most weeks have a task that comes round again and again. For a lot of people it's the same reply to every enquiry, or copying details from one place to another. It isn't hard. It just never ends.
You've probably wondered whether it could run itself, then looked at the options and closed the tab. Olive starts smaller than that. One task, looked at properly, before you spend money or an afternoon on tools.
Keeping it going yourself is just as sensible.
How it works
- Tell Olive about one task you do at least once a week. Something that takes time or energy every time it comes round.
- Answer a couple of short questions, one at a time: what sets the task off, and what you actually need at the end.
- Olive describes, in plain English, how it could happen without you. Then you get a one-page summary to keep, with one small first step for this week.
- Every time someone books a discovery call, I send the same three emails by hand.

Worth knowing
- Olive won't push you towards automation. If the task is rare, or quicker by hand than it would take to set up, she'll say so.
- She doesn't recommend particular tools unless you ask, because tools change often. You get a plain-English description of the kind of tool that could help.
- It doesn't connect to anything or set anything up for you. It helps you see what's worth automating, and where to start.
- It works on its own, or straight after Alex, our free planning skill. When your plan has a step that repeats, Olive picks up from there.

Who's behind Olive
We're Jacqueline Leake and Nina Mistry, the two halves of Meet Ada.
